The association today

In its 20 years of existence, an increasing number of domestic and foreign companies have joined the association in the course of a growing European integration. In 1990, the association changed its organizational structure in order to meet with the requirements of the European market. This change became "official" in 2002, when the association eventually changed its name to VESF, Verband der europäischen Straßenfräsunternehmungen (Association of European road milling enterprises).

Owing to the high degree of acceptance from both the contracting companies and the machine manufacturers and suppliers, today our members include more than 50 leading companies from Austria, Belgium, Czech republic, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland.

A compliance guideline was adopted at the General Meeting in March 2024, which we follow at our meetings. We have published the guideline in four languages (English, German, French, Dutch) available for download here: Download compliance guidelines

For the members' meeting in autumn 2021 the VESF hosted nearly 50 participants from 8 nations.
