In 1981, ten Germans contracting companies founded the "Verband deutscher Straßenfräsunternehmungen e.V." (Association of German road milling enterprises) to bundle and represent the interests of German milling enterprises.

The purpose of this newly founded association was to protect and develop the common interests of its members, in particular the concerns of the road milling enterprises against the authorities and other lobbies. In addition, we have intensively dedicated ourselves to the education and the training of personnel working in the milling sector.
